I do my diy repairs as cheap as possible so i go old school and just discharge the static electricity in my body by touching the metal frame on the device to equalize the electric potential.

But if you paranoid just have an anti static mat while building.
In my life i deal with lots of sensitive electronics every day and frying these electronics is a big concern when touching them.
Its not one touch could send your 100 graphics.
