E90 Window Motor Reset

Have you lost the auto up or down on your electric windows.

E90 window motor reset.

Reset the automatic window feature. Make sure the windows are completely closed. 1 second close window completely again. In order to initialize the window close the doors from the drivers switch block hold the window in the closed position until the window fully closes.

This calibration is needed after your w. Does not include motor right rear window regulator or window lifter assembly without motor for your 4 door e90 91. Push window all the way up and tape it there. This will allow you to get started making sure power goes to your windows.

Roll the window completely down and hold the auto button down for 10 seconds. The window should be initialized at this point. Are they not closing fully or going fully down. Power window regular motor initialization procedure switch ignition on and close window completely release window button then hold switch in close direction again for approx.

Open window completely. Get in and close the door and push the open button to the second detent until the window opens all the way then keep holing for 17 seconds after it is fully open. After you get the door panel and vapor barrier off just roll the window down to where you can access the clip and pop it off the regulator using a big flat screwdriver. Roll the window completely down.

Next quickly pull on the close button past the detent and wait for the window to fully close.
